JB's Health Report, and Thank You Grandma!

This is me, JB.  I am giving you my health report.  I am still sick a lot and throwing up almost daily.  Mom has started giving me 1/4 Pepsi daily to see if that might help.  I still am eating good though and like my fresh snackies at least 4 times a day.  The vet thinks it is probably Inflammatory Bowel Disease.  Mom has to read up on this more because the potential treatment is steroids and mom is afraid to give me any kind of drug because I am so small.  Will keep all posted.

One thing that has made me feel better is this hand-knitted toy filled with catnip that grandma made for me!  It is so soft and I like to lay on it!

Plus, I think it brings out my pretty fur colors too!
Thank you, grandma!  I love it!

That is an awesome toy! I wish you were feeling better, JB... there are holistic solutions for IBD, like slippery elm powder and some probiotic stuff, but you would have to do some research - I am not completely up on all of it, and I don't know for sure how effective they really are. They do seem to help some kitties. BTW, you DO mean Pepcid, right? I don't think your human has you drinking, Pepsi, does she? ;-)

Yes, it is Pepcid AC. I like to call it Pepsi!

Gol darn it, we hope you feel better soon, JB. Could your Mom try something different than Pepcid? Maui gets Zantac when he gets barfy.

Great toy! We are purring and crossing paws that the right kind of food not to upset your tummy can be found.

In France, there is a veterinary medicine called Phosphaluvet which works really well with barfy critters. Wish we could send you some. Maybe next time we have someone going to the US. It's liquid so it wouldn't be able to go international mail. The main ingredient is Aluminium Phosphate.

We're sorry you're still feeling barfy. We hope you feel better soon.

That toy makes you feel good because it was made with love!!

Dear JB

Thank you so much for your card. I loved it very much even though there are lots of cats on there as usual.

I am sorry you are poorly and hope you are soon better.

I know lots about NSAIDs as I take them for arthritis/atrophy.

I hope you are soon much better so I can chase you.

Love Pippa xx
