Mom left us for 6 whole days for a bizness trip, and she just got back this morning. She says she has red eyes, but I don't know what that means.
Naturally, I wanted to be upset when she got home, but I just could not stay mad for long, so I am happily purring and snuggling with mom most of the day!

Aw, we're glad your mom's home. Our human says red eyes are no fun at all, though it's been many years since she's done them (she is terrified of flying).
We're also glad you're purring and snuggling with your mom--we bet that's just what she needs! Well, that and sleep. :-)

We know you're glad your mom is home. Our mom will leave for a six day business trip next month. We're not looking forward to it.

I think your mama said she has red eyes because she missed you while she was gone. And then she also has red eyes because when she got home, she was so happy to be back with you. Seems a bit contradictory, doesn't it? Humans are funny.
