Mom helped organize an adoption event for
Frisco Humane Society yesterday, which is the group she volunteers for. This is one of the reasons she has had little time to help me blog, but I am ok with this if more cats can find homes. :-)
It was held at the Frisco TX Petsmart. The FHS volunteers advertised and promoted it a lot, so more potential adopters showed up than expected!
It was very crowded throughout the day!
Many extra crates were set up for the additional cats purrticipating. 6 cats were adopted at the event, which was great as the event focused on some cats that had been returned 1-2 times already or were considered "hard to adopt". Alas, not all were adopted so some are still looking for homes today.
This is the center that FHS uses on an ongoing basis and has cats for viewing every week. FHS also has cats for viewing at the E. Plano TX store as well.
KitKats, Kitty Kisses and KupKakes were on hand for the human kids to snack on.
It was a great event, but unfortunately the poster boy on the event flyer,
Robert Redford, the flame point Siamese, is still looking for his furever home. The next big event will be Dec 17, so I hope he finds a home in time for Christmas!
