Ummm, I guess your Mum happened to have her camera in her pocket to have been able to snap a photo of that bug, rather than putting a jar over it so it wouldn't disappear/hide in your cat house.
OMC, that is one big bug! Your mom is very brave to take her time taking pics of the bug instead of freaking out about what to do about it. That's what mom would have done, MOL.
