"Cats are Strange Creatures" and Remembering PooPoo

I hear mom say this a lot:  "Cats are strange creatures".  Whatever does my mom mean?  I think cats are completely normal.
Just because we like to sit on towels.....

....or in laundry baskets, what is strange about that?

Of course it is absolutely necessary to walk counter-clockwise around the kitchen bar, no matter where I am in the room, in order to climb up on the 3rd chair to eat my supper.
What is strange about that?

I think cats are completely normal.

On that note, I would like to remember my sister, PooPoo, today.  It has been 2 years since she left us for the Rainbow Bridge
I know she thinks she was not strange either.
We miss you, PooPoo!

We remember beautiful PooPoo and were so sad when she had to run off to the bridge. (((hugs)))

It's the humans that are strange, not us kitties!!!!!!!!!!

We loved the pix of you, gorgeous JB.

Poo Poo is most gorgeous, too....we know she misses you and is waiting for you at The Bridge.

We're creatures of habit and of comfort, so everything you do makes purrfect sense today!

Soft purrs and kitty kisses for you all, as you remember PooPoo today. What a beauty she was!

LOvely to remember sweet PooPoo.

We agree with you, JB. There is nothing even remotely strange about the things you describe. Humans on the other paw... that is another story....

Oh, we remember beautiful Poo Poo! A lot has happened since she left, but we never forget her.

Now I do disagree with your mom. I don't see anything strange about us kitties. All those things you mentioned are completely normal. Humans are strange.

Wow, we remember reading about Miss PooPoo leaving for the Bridge before we were blogging, but it's hard to believe it was 2 years ago. I, Zoe, do something similar to you that my mom thinks is strange. When you go upstairs, there is an open space (perhaps a loft), and then a door into the bedroom and one into the bathroom. Now, there is also a door from the bedroom to the bathroom. When my mom goes upstairs to use the bathroom, she goes in through the loft bathroom door. But I go into the bedroom and THEN into the bathroom. Every single time. I don't know why!

Strange?? Strange are the humans and we don't complain about that, right?
Kisses and hugs

1. Humans eat all sorts of bad things and then wonder why they feel lumpy and lazy.

2. Humans get in cars and sit in them for long periods of time to go sit somewhere else for eight hours, just for green-colored paper.

3. Humans (mostly male humans) scream at the TV on Sunday afternoons.

I'd say that humans are the strange ones.

PooPoo, we miss you, too! I know your Mom misses you so very much.

Mom says she first thought cats were strange -- like when I drank water out of the tub and sink, always having to look up (instead of down like where a dog would be), finding me up on the kitchen counter, not having to train me to use the litterbox. All very un-dog like.

PooPoo is Beautiful. I lost my beloved Simba 1-17-09 too. My heart still aches for him. I know you too ache for your baby. She is very pretty. You sound like a great owner. I can tell you love all your babies. They are lucky to have you.
