Sweaty Cat?

Mom says that I am a sweaty cat lately.  Can you believe she said this about me?  She thinks it is because I will be 10 this year and I am a senior.

I told her, no, that is not why.  I still bathe many times every single day!

 

Mom says my furs are less than pristine lately and my furs are kind of stringy.

Mom!  Maybe it is because there are too many cats in my CatHouse and it is stressing me out!

 

Or maybe it is because we are out of our all-time favorite stinky fishy Wellness Salmon Food.
It is holistic food that mom gets us now and we all love it.  Holistic is a fancy word that means "good for cats". 
On the bag it says it "supports skin and coat health"...ah ha!

Go to the store, mom!  This bag is empty!  My furs need to be healthy!

Rest in Peace, Sharkie

We got some very sad news today.  There was a terrible accident this morning and my good friend, Deetz, lost his brother, Sharkie.

Please stop by Deetz's blog to visit and send some hugs to his family at this sad time.  Sharkie's mum is heart broken.

12 Paws Up for Video Catnip!

This is Chester's birth sissie, Sugar. (Remember, as babies they used to be called Sugar and "a Dumplin'? ") 

 She became a Royal Cat when she became a "Queen of Spades" last year.  She is our good friend.  Isn't she beautiful?

 

She sends us surprises, and lookie what she sent us the other day!

Video Catnip!

Wait a minute!  How did this evil squirrel get in this video?

We just LOVE the video.  We all LOVE to watch it.  Mom finally had to move us to another TV to watch though, because we were trying to catch birdies inside and behind mom's plazma TV and she freaked out because we were using our claws on the screen!

Sometimes Armani gets on my nerves when we watch the video, because he gets SO into it.

Must you sit so close to me, Armani?

Here is something else Sugar sent us to help us with Gaia (Chester and Sugar's mama). 

Gaia is not too pleased.  She keeps saying she is being nice and good, but we all know better!

Mom here:  Update on Gaia.  Her personality has been improving slightly, though she gets reprimanded a lot.  She does get to stay out in the main area of the house all day now, with only occcasional "time-outs".  She must go in her room at night and when I am not home, as she can not be left out unsupervised.  
Please wish us much luck and patience with her!

P.S.  Yes, that is Charli there watching the video too.  She has not found a forever home yet and still lives with us too.

Tabby Terror!

We are the Bean sisters, and we are both terrified of tabbies now!

CocoBean:  I got this scratch on my perfect model face from that tabby named Gaia!

JellyBean:  Look out!  Here she comes again!

Gaia:  Chester, what is wrong with the Bean sisters?  I am very nice and good!

Chester:  I don't know.  CocoBean hisses at me now too, and I am her best bud!  

Mom has been working with Gaia on her purrsonality since New Year's Day.  Mom told Gaia it is time for a New Year's Restitooshun, and she needs to be nice and good this year.

Mom is even reading books about the issues with Gaia!  She never did that when PooPoo was with us.  Believe it or not, PooPoo was never as mean as Gaia is!
Mom says Gaia has made significant improvements since these pictures were taken.  I am not so sure.....JellyBean, TopCat, signing off.

Remembering PooPoo

It has already been a year since we lost PooPoo.....

She was a cat with great character.

Real, Rubber, or Good Luck?

Chester:  Duck Alert, Duck Alert!  (for those of you who don't remember, we were looking for ducks for our new cement pond last year here)

 Chester:  Hey guys, Prints the Cat sent us a California Duck!  Look, it is even vacuum packed for freshness!

 

 JB:  I don't know, Chester.  I don't think it is real.  It smells like the Rubber variety to me.

 

 Chester:  Let's watch it and see if it moves.

 

 CocoBean:  I think real Ducks have feathers and they are very tasty to eat.  This does not look like a real duck and I am just so hungry!

 

 Armani:  In my observation, I believe this is a Stylish Duck because it is wearing a fashionable blue scarf.

 

After our inspections, mom put the Duck in our cement pond, and guess what?  We all saw it move!

OH, THE HORROR!

Mom tricked me and put me in this stupid little PTU this morning!

I am not going to go quietly!  I will make a whole lotta noise!!

Oh no, the little room, it is the little room!  Mom, mom, what is wrong with me?  Why am I in the little room??

I will hide so the Dr. V-E-T can not see me!  OH, THE HORROR!

It did not work.  He saw me any way and I had to have my annual exam.  Here is what happened:

1.  I got a rabid shot -- why, I say?  I am not rabid??

2.  My bloods were stolen!  -- Dr. V-E-T says I am a "senior" this year because I will be 10, so stealing bloods is recommended. (1/7: Update....my bloods were all good and healthy, not like a cat of 10 years!  I am still light on my toes and young!  whoo hoo!)

3.  I got poked EVERYWHERE! -- even in the most unladylike places!

I finally got home, and I am a very distraught Jelly Bean.

Mom!  Where are my treats for going through this horror??
