Watching, and Waiting Wednesday.....for Feathers!

This past weekend, mom found this in one of our rose bushes!
It is a Cardinal's nest, and there were 4 eggs in it.  Then only 3 on Monday.

I have been watching and waiting with great interest.....because mom said feathers would come out of the eggs!

There is a mama Cardinal who is always in the nest taking care of the eggs and keeping them warm.
Then guess what mom saw this morning?

A brand new baby Cardinal!
Mom saw it moving and breathing, so he looks like he is ok.

Please help us purray that soon we will have 3 new feathered friends!

How's that for some Big World action in my Small World?

Please stop by JB's BIG WORLD here too,and sign my GUESTBOOK here!

Wow! Tell your Mommy to be careful taking photos...our Mommy's Dad was divebombed by cardinals once when he got too close to the nest!

How absolutely wonderful! #1 loves cardinals but we don't have any in Europe. We are keeping all of our paws crossed that the feathery babies thrive!

We've never seen baby Cardinals before. We have a Mom and Dad who seem to come back every year so we hope we get babies this year. Sometimes our woofies scare them away.
