It is with deep sadness and pain that I have to tell you all that my mom helped Misty to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday morning.
Mom's heart is breaking to have lost two of her girls within one month, and she still has not gotten over losing PooPoo so suddenly on 1/13/09.
Misty began her journey with my mom as a super floofy kitten, rescued from a Bay Area shelter in California. She was always on the shy side, but was always a big purr machine, though she never meowed at all.
Misty was the Super Model of our family, and for good reason. She grew into a gorgeous Glamour Girl, and was always striking a beautiful pose.
Misty was the sweetest sister to me, but she had a lot of health problems. She had been ill with kidney issues for almost half of her 13 and a half years. In Feb 2006, she had a kidney removed and almost died, but mom nursed her back to health. Misty was mom's Miracle Girl, and mom was able to give her almost 3 more years of life and love, till her little body began to give out for the last time.
Misty had most of the terrible CRF symptoms that are common with this disease, and mom could not watch her suffer any more. Though Misty had never spoken, she had started making little meowing sounds like she was trying to tell mom it was time.
Mom had to make the heart wrenching decision to help Misty to the Bridge yesterday morning.
Run free, my big sis, Misty, run free with PooPoo and Taffy. We love you and will miss you so much. One day we will all be together again.
