Thoughts on Being a Sweater

I have another special job, which I do every day my mom is working from home. I become a Sweater! I go into my mom's office and I jump up on her lap and lay down. This is only effective when mom is wearing shorts, because that is when I know she must be a little bit cold.

I do this every day that my mom works at home. I do this only after 3:00pm, because that is when I know my mom is the coldest.

Don't you think this is a special job? I have to take care of my mom, you know! There you have it........my thoughts on Being a Sweater!

(JB's mom here.......it is about 100 degrees here in Texas almost every day lately......so it is reasonable to assume, that I don't get cold very often. JB thinks this daily ritual is very important, so I just turn on a portable fan when she is in sweater mode!)

I am My Mom's Little Helper

I am my mom's little helper at my house. Every day my mom has to make the bed in case we get any showings on selling our house. I help her fluff the pillows on the bed.

But last night, one of my friends from my Big World, came inside to play with me in my Small World! My mom was not too happy that I invited him in......

My mom screamed and yelled for daddy to get a shoe to kill my friend!

Here is my friend, the Scorpion. He is dead now.

In all fairness to my mom, I understand why she was afraid of my friend the Scorpion. He really is a little bit scary! So, the great little helper that I am, I snoopervised the bed covers last night to make sure my friend the Scorpion did not bring any of his pals along inside.

Ok, mom. All clear here! The bed has no bed bugs in it! Sleep well!

Furniture Friday

It is finally Friday. And it is also "Furniture Friday". Misty put in her order with my mom for a new table. She is still upset that mom sold her old table. Misty says the new one has to be big enough so she could rest her furs and (and leave her furs!) in a variety of different spots and positions.

I think Misty will be upset though, because I heard mom saying she is not going to replace the dining room table right away. Mom is going shopping for other furniture this evening. Poor Misty!

Fantasy Frolic Through the Sunflower Field

I have been worrying about my mom lately a lot. She is cranky and irritable all the time and she does not sleep well at night with all the stress of trying to sell our house. Sometimes I lay in my short cat tower and purray that my mom stops stressing......(this is because I can not lay in my tall cat tower any more because it is in the garage now.)

My good friend, Deetz, and his mom are worried about my mom too. They are so sweet and sent us some photos of sunflowers from where they live in Kansas to help my mom de-stress!

Mom was so happy to see all the cheery sunflowers, and she wishes she could run away in them!

Deetz said he and I could go run and frolic through the sunflowers too! And guess what? I think I would not be scared to go outside if Deetz was there to protect me!

Also to all my friends who have given me awards recently, I thank you all very much! I must apologize for not being able to post them. As you know, my mom has so little time these days. Thank you to you all!

Bath for JB?

JB: Mom, I started to worry today. You don't think I am dirty too, like dear sister, PooPoo, do you? I don't want to go to jail like PooPoo. I want to be with you! I hate water on my furs, but if I have to take a bath, I will take one, just so I can stay with you.

Mom: No, JB. You don't have to take a bath. Your furs are very clean and pristine. I appreciate how clean you are! You are a good cat!

Jail or Paradise?

Mom told me that PooPoo was going to jail, but what is this? Pet Paradise? I thought PooPoo got in a BIG heap of trouble for pooping in the house, but then mom takes her to paradise?

Ok, maybe this is not really paradise, because for me, paradise is being at home with my mom. Here is PooPoo in her jail cell......uh, I mean paradise.

Hey, wait a minute! Maybe this IS paradise! PooPoo gets to watch fancy colored birdies in paradise!

But PooPoo says: "Mom, pleeeeaase, take me home! I will be good. I promise!"

I think that PooPoo now realizes that being at home with mom is really what paradise is. She will have to stay here for about a month, and there is no time off for good behavior.

PooPoo's Mug Shot

PooPoo got in a BIG heap of trouble yesterday. Oooh, mom was mad! As you may know, the man with the big sucking monster came to clean our carpets to get our house ready to sell recently. Well, PooPoo has pooped 2 times already on the nice clean carpet including once under mom and daddy's bed! Oooh, mom is mad!

Mom has no choice but to send PooPoo to jail! This is her mug shot!

I will update you all tomorrow. Mom has to take the day off now to try to find a good "jail" to take PooPoo to for a whole month! Ooh, mom is mad!!!!!

(P.S. Ok, not a real jail, but mom has to find a Pet Hotel to board PooPoo in, or we will not be able to sell our house with poopy smells in it!)

Misty, You are Just Too Much!

As you may already know, Misty thinks she gets special privileges like sitting on tables and sitting on counters. She feels she can because of her "model" status. And mom lets her because she is the one-kidney miracle girl!

But is it all going to her head? What is she doing now??

She is waiting by the phone for an important call from her agent!

P.S. Please forgive me for not being able to visit everyone's blogs as much lately......as you may know, we are moving in a month, and mom is super busy. I will do the best I can!

Snoozing & Slurping on Sunday?

After the big loud sucking monster left our house, we tried to get back to normal, but our stuff was still not in its normal spots, so we had to adjust our routines. I decided to take a long nap on a folded up comforter laying on the floor. Being scared takes a lot out of a small Jelly Bean!

Misty normally snoozes on the glass kitchen table, but she decided to try out the dining room table, thinking it would give her better publicity or something. Models......always seeking attention!

PooPoo did an odd thing. She went in to cleaning mode! Loud sucking slurping noises came from the bedroom, and mom went to see what was going on. PooPoo was trying to imitate the loud sucking monster! And she sure was using a lot of spit to get the job done!

We Were So Scared!

We were so scared this week! Mom has been moving stuff around and we don't know why. Our stuff is not in its normal places. Then mom told us why. We are going to be moving to a new house in August. Mom put an offer in on a house just a bit east of us now, and we will now be selling our current house. But why were we so scared yesterday?

A man came to our house with a big loud sucking monster to clean our carpets! So mom stashed us in the closet for safe keeping. We were so scared. Can you see me in the corner of the closet?

PooPoo sat in her mink bed and turned her back on mom.

Misty gave mom "the tail". (Oh, Misty wanted me to comment that even when she gives mom "the tail" it is a mighty nicely groomed model tail!)

I stayed in the corner scared.

Soon we loosened up a little. Misty decided a nice pose could further her modeling career......even in the closet!

PooPoo snarfed up some stinky goodness.

But I stayed in the corner. I was so scared!

We got to come out of the closet after a while, and we are still a bit scared....ok, maybe I am the most scared. But I know my mom will take care of us, so we will be ok!

Wordless Wednesday with PooPoo

Mom has to feed PooPoo separately from me and Misty because she is so grumpy and hissy all the time. What do you think PooPoo is saying in these photos? (Hint.....she is waiting for stinky goodness, even though she has crunchies and Temptations already!)

Tummy Tuesday

Mom caught PooPoo in this position yesterday. PooPoo used to lay like this all the time when she was younger, but now she is so uptight and cranky she never does this any more. I wonder what PooPoo is dreaming about?

As for me, I like to show my tummy a lot. I like to show off my soft curly tummy furs and their subtle shades of color which complement my white toe and my sparkling blue eyes. Do you like my tummy furs?

And then there is Misty. She does not show her tummy furs ever. She feels it is beneath her superior model status to do such poses.

P.S. Our mom is still super busy......but at least she still loves us enough to still take pictures of us!
