Why Do Moms and Daddys Have to Leave Us ALONE?

I have bad news! Mom told me she has to go and help grandma in California again this weekend! She won't be back till late Monday night! That is 4 whole days! I turn my back on my mom for this......

She is flying out in a big birdie in the sky and then driving back a 25 hour drive, and just to pick up some ant-teek furniture? What is that? Furniture with ants in it? How stupid is that? That is 25 hours more that she could have spent with me!

I hope you think of me, mom. I hope you think of me sitting here alone with my toys that don't move. I hope you think of me!

I hope you think of me, mom, all, alone, on my tower.....all alone. You think that because you brought my tower downstairs, I would be ok? Nope, not ok. Upset! Very upset!

I will turn my nose up at you when you get back......

PooPoo's New Doo!

PooPoo came home from Dr. Staph's late today. Since this is her

story and she went through a lot, I will let her tell it, and she can even tell it on my blog!

I give you The New and Improved PooPoo! PooPoo, will you please tell your story? (I'll just do some cleaning myself in the meantime!)

PooPoo says.......Yes I will! It all started when all of our food got taken away last night. I knew something was up, but I could not remember why that usually happens. Then the next morning, I found myself in that stupid traveling box again! Even my whiskers were nervous!

Mom left me at that place I hate, with all those other animals. I don't like other animals. Then....then what??

Well, what kind of story IS this? This is ALL I remember! I am a little freaked out! Where did the day go? Did I sleep through another night? I feel like I dreamed about pink elephants from JB's Big World! Then I looked down and I had no furs! I am naked!

Why am I so hungry?? I feel like I just went to bed and just got up! How many hours has it been? Ok, I must calm down now.....Mom gave me a special buffet with my 3 favorite food choices as soon as I got home.......yeah!

After I ate almost a whole can of Fancy Feast, I laid down next to this leopard pillow to try to be glamorous. Am I as glam as Misty?

Mom gave me some fresh new tissue paper to lay my butt on. My butt is not so attractive without furs, so I would not let mom take a good picture of it!

I feel really fresh now! I might even sing! I think I will sing!

Whoa-oa-oa! I feel good, I knew that I would, now! I feel good, I knew that I could, now! So good, so good, I feel good!!

Getting Ready to be a Lion!

Yesterday, Poopoo had to go to Dr. Staph's to get her check-up. I took a look through the holes in the traveling box to sniff her out a little. I was glad I was not going!

Then I decided I was a little too close to that box, so I should observe from afar!

PooPoo was scared at the Dr. Staph's office, just like I was! Here she is hiding her face in mom's arms just like I did! Funny how she does not claw and hiss at mom now!


She had to get her blood stolen so it could be tested for the big day on Wednesday. She is 14, so this is to make sure she will be safe with the sedation. Mom worries about the sedation. Here the vet tech is holding her up so mom could take a "before" shot. I want to add that this is in no way a Glamour Shot!


Wednesday is the day she will get her Lion Cut! She won't be stinky any more!

Monday With Misty

Night Visitors!

This is our bird feeder. It is hangs from this tree near where we suntan on our indoor window seat.
We have a lot of birds coming to our yard to eat, but mom thinks we have some other unwelcome night visitors too!

What do you think lives in these holes? ......Is it SNAKES?

Should I be scared?

Do you think the snakes ate my mom cabbage plants too?






I will ponder the snake thought later, as I am not paying attention again!

The sun is shining and I must try to catch "birdies". If you remember, "birdies" are specks of dust or strands of my furs that float in the air and glisten in the sunshine and I try to catch them! I do this EVERY day that the sun is shining!

I decided to be serious. There are lots of nice doggies out there who are my friends, but some just want to eat me or chase me. Here is a poem I wrote, going out to doggies all over the world:

Oh, why don't all the doggies want to like me?

I am so very friendly as you will agree.

I ask them to visit my Big World to see,

but if they still want to, they will try to chase me.

They will never catch me, oh no they will not.

I can run away, really fast in a shot!

Why don't all doggies like me, I ask with a sigh.....

If I can't find out soon, I think I really might cry!

The Many Faces of JB!

Hey, don't look up my nose! I don't know WHY mom posted THAT picture! That is not an angle you need to see!

Ok, maybe to show the features of my unique lips. They are black on one side and pink on the other! I am not sure why my lips are different colors.....but my toes are too!

You can also see that my teeth are straight, and I never even had braces!

Ok, I am sorry, it is very clear that I can not be Wordless! I always have way too much to say!

The Glamour Girl

Well, what is this now? Mom got a new camera yesterday and was testing it out. Now all of a sudden, Misty thinks she is going to be a Glamour Girl or something! She hides a lot of the time, but now she comes out and prances around? Is she trying to steal my spotlight?

Ok, I guess she does look pretty glamorous. I have to give her some credit after she endured that terrible kidney surgery, and recovery. She looks quite floofy and beautiful.

Too bad she just had a drink of water and has water droplets on her nose! That is not very glam! She is a very messy drinker and always splatters water everywhere when she drinks!

I Didn't Do It, Mom! (Memories of JB as a Baby)

When I was a baby, I was very mischievious.....well, I guess I still am, really. Well, mom came home one day and found that there was black stuff all over the carpet near the fireplace. She looked and saw that the firescreen was slightly open and it looked like someone had gotten in. She asked me and my sisters who had done this, and immediately said, "Not me!", with my "innocent face", of course.

Mom did not believe me. I had evidence all over my face, and I was caught red-handed (or black pawed and faced!). I told mom I was sorry. I did not mean to make the carpet all black. I was just so curious to see what was inside the big black fireplace box! Mom forgave me, and laughed so hard, because my face was all dirty and I didn't even know it!

It took me hours to clean my furs, paws and face, till I was satisfied that I was all clean again. I must be clean at all times, you know.

Moral of the story: If you decide investigate something, make sure that you test the object first with just one toe, to make sure it won't stain your furs or anything else, or you might get in trouble!

JB, Temptations Reporter Here

I am excited to report that there is a new variety of Temptations! Mom got us some at the store yesterday. They are "All Natural". I think this might make Dr. Staph happy, because he told my mom that we eat too much "junk food". But what can we do?? We are addicted to Temptations!

This new variety comes in salmon too, which you know is my favorite. They have "added vitamins and minerals" and are not made with anything artificial.

I hope that these new natural Temptations have the same scrumptious taste as the old. The Temptations baker should not ruin a good thing, you know.

Please let me know if you have tried them and how you would rate them.

Mom will let us try some after dinner tonight, I suppose kind of like an after dinner mint for cats!

Mom also bought a big container of nip at the store today, so I am a little distracted.........it is making me think of the the moonlight stroll through the catnip field with Ben on my Valentine's date.

A Patient and Tolerant Mom

I am starting to feel a little sad for my sister, PooPoo. She did not have a Valentine like I did, and she seems to be so upset all the time. She has been camping out in the bedroom upstairs where she hides under the bed a lot. It smells really bad in that room!

We like to sit on tissue paper a lot at my house, so mom gave PooPoo some hot pink tissue for Valentine's Day. She liked it a lot. PooPoo also has two kitty beds mom gave her to sleep in.

I think PooPoo is just embarassed of how stinky she is. She lays under the bed and somehow gets small bits of poop stuck all over her body. She tries to clean herself, but maybe she just gets frustrated because cleaning it is such a big job for her.



PooPoo has a brush that she has had a long time. It is her favorite brush. She likes to rub her neck, ears, and face against it.



You can see how dirty her furs are in the brush. When mom tries to make PooPoo feel better, she asks her "You wanna brush?" PooPoo purrs and purrs for a while getting brushed, but then gets irritated and swats at mom again.


PooPoo will be 14 sometime in July. She has always been a pissy girl. Mom is a very patient and tolerant mom. I think PooPoo loves our mom.....but it is very hard to tell!

Dreaming of Ben.....

I had a wonderful date with Ben last night. Our dinner was like an exploding taste sensation, and of course the salmon was perfectly prepared! I am a little sleepy this morning though..........

I got home 10 minutes after my curfew and my mom was mad. She gave me a good scolding. I told her I would not be home late next time........

Now if mom would just stop taking pictures of me so I can get my beauty sleep.........zzzzzzzzz......this edition of JB's Dream World should be outstanding! Sweet dreams, Ben!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I am so excited! Today is Valentine's Day, and this is the first year I have had a Valentine. My Valentine is the handsome Benjamin Fuzz, (if I had not mentioned it enough before!)

These are some photos of me that mom took on my red Valentine's blanket for Ben. I hope she does not post the picture of me getting ready for my dinner date tonight!

I have two mice for Ben and I to share. Mom put them inside the nip container over night to make sure they are extra spicy for us for our date. I had to taste one of them to make sure they are seasoned just right. You know how I am about seasoning!

Oh no, it is getting late! I have to get ready for my date!


I did some washing and cleaned up my toes for dinner. Hey, I told mom not to show my picture taking a bath!




I think I am ready now. This is my super cute look for Ben. Sort of a like a glamour shot!
