Night-time Wildlife Visitors

Friday Night: Mom, mom!!!! I see something outside! It frightens me and it has a scary face! Mom, mom! Come see! Pleeeeease, come see!

I think it is one of THESE!!!!!!

Saturday Morning: Ooooh, mom should have listened to me! Look what happened in the night from our latest wildlife visitors! Armadillos came and dug up my mom's pansies!

Oooh, mom was mad! They also dug a huge trench through a flower bed and under our house!! They threw piles and piles of dirt all over her freshly mulched flower bed! You can even see an underground sprinkler pipe in this picture of the big hole if you look closely.

Mom was very mad on Saturday. She went to the store and got some stinky spray to repel the armadillos away.

Sunday morning: All was quiet last night. No armadillos and there was nothing else for me to do but have another belly snuggle!

I hope that my other wildlife visitors will still come visit me!

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my BIG WORLD too, thanks!

How rude of them Armadillos to come & do that to your Mommys flower garden. I've never even seen a live one before just dead ones on the side of when me & the Mommy go bluebonnett or dogwood hunting.

Have come over to see my new Kitty Cat--I don't like her cause she is not you. I used the Mommy's favorite picture of you on that post but I like all your pictures

Love my kitty cat friend...Mona

What strange garden visitors you have. I think I would love to see one of those. Mummy wouldn't like her garden dug up though.

Some armadillos live around me, too. I do not like them. They are not very smart, either.

JB, we would be really, really scared if we saw one of those too! Your mom should have listened to your warning ... hee hee! Momma says we have had possums and a racoon around here, but we didn't have to see them. And we live in the city ... go figure! We like your other wildlife visitors much, much better!

Oh, my goodness! That is one critter I never imagined ruining a garden. No wonder you were afraid JB! Vicious Armadillos! I'm glad you sought the comfort of a warm belly. :) I hope your mom can get her garden back in shape. I really hope the armadillo doesn't try to move in under your house. I bet that stuff Mom bought will work.
Cody looks so much better! His adventures are limited to cat toys inside for now. :)
Have a Happy Evening!
hugs and smoochies,

I have to say that Armadillos are a new one on us. Glad to hear there is a repellant for them! They sure do a lot of destruction on flowers and dirt and yards. Your Mom's poor flower bed! She worked on that only about a month ago. Hopefully the armadillos didn't eat the sprinkler pipe!

Mary said... the summer, I will have skunks around my front porch looking for dropped bird seed. My cats try to go out and play with them! Luckily, they never get too friendly....or unfriendly. Would Jelly Bean like to have one??

Hi, JB!
Those armadillos are destroyers!
Too bad they damaged your mom's flowers!
Looks like that spray worked!

Jeepers!! Those armadillos are destructive!!! Good thing we do not have them!!! However, raccoons are just as destructive. They are not the cute little things you see on TV !
You were right to warn your Mom .

I've never seen an armadillo before! My mom said the only ones she's ever seen were on the side of the road dead. The deer came to our house and mowed down our hostas. My mom says she gives up and is going to transplant them to the back yard where the deer don't come.
