Computers Can Get Virus's Too

Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest, but we are having trouble with virus protection, so I must work today! We downloaded the new version of Symantec and it is making our computer much too slow. I don't really understand all this virus stuff.....why can't we just give our computer some medicine or vitamins from Dr. Staph?

I must help my mom fix this problem. Here I am studying the Norton Symantec website. I hope we can get this fixed soon! I must visit my friends' blogs!

Before you go, please sign JB's GUESTBOOK, and stop by JB's BIG WORLD too, thanks!

Mum recommends ditching it and trying Avast.. it's good and there is a free version that is excellent apparently

We use Symantec's Norton Internet Security. It does slow down the computer... But Mom's been using Norton's since 1987 (or something like that) and has never, ever had a virus or hacker or Trojan make it into her computers. Mom says it's worth it to her to have a slightly slower computer than an infected computer. We run it on all 3 computers.

We use a Mac and decided that we didn't need such a big virus protection programme. My mummy says ours is much smaller and doesn't slow us down at all.

Maw made Paw switch her over to McAfee because it is MUCH faster than Norton. Maw also quit using Internet Explorer and now only uses Mozilla Firefox for her browser so things are really fast on her pooter now.

We use Norton Internet Security, too. And it does seem to slow down the computer some. Like Maw said, we also use Firefox instead of IE.

Oh, we're facing computer problems too lately eventhough it's new...after we bought new computer, we immediately installed AVG and PACMAV anti virus program, but somehow the virus Trojan still succeeded bugging our computer, so we add spyware and spuboot program. And, it turned out, we're facing more confusing problems:( After consulted with mommie's friends, the main rule is only allowed ONE program antivirus installed into our computer, never use 2 or 3 at the same time, coz it'll only adding more problem ( they will crash one another). We tried MacAfee too in other laptop before we got this new computer, but it didnt work at its best.

Then, we consulted with another mommie's friend who used to worked with her last year, based on his experience, he advised us only use the Symantec corporation antivirus program, coz other version of Symantec & Norton will slowing down our computer. Now we had installed it & removed all the other antivirus programs from the computer. Our computer now still running fast although we use IE.

Hope this information is useful.
And, we hope your computer will work well again.

I think it's wonderful that you were helping your Mom figure out the computer issue! I wish my cats were like that. They never help me with the computer :-/

I do hope you were able to fix the problem by now.
