Here is a thought to ponder today, and please correct me if I am wrong. Why do cats always have so many nicknames? Are our moms crazy? Here are the names that my mom has called us over the years. It is a wonder that we even know who we are!
JB (Jelly Bean) -- Sammie, Sammie Jammie, Jelly, Janelle, Hootananny
PooPoo -- Niki, Poppy, Pops, Poppananny, Snacks
Misty -- Donshi, Schmallie, TaTa
Taffy -- Tiffany, Sunshine Girl, Donatelli, Taffy Girl

Lots of nicknames means you are very loved! Sometimes my Mommie calls me "Silly-Butt"!
No, we don't think she's crazy. She just has trouble recognizing you so she calls you all by other cats' names. She's just forgetful. Like Jan.

JB, we have been adopted for just three months, and Mommy and Daddy already have lots of nicknames for us too. In fact, we have been thinking of creating a "Nicknames Meme"! Great minds think alike! Based on the comments you have received so far, it sounds like other kitties have many nicknames too! Hmmm, we think we will create the Meme and give you credit too!

I give my kitties nicknames too. :) I think it's just another way of expressing love and sometimes in my cat Cricket's case exasperation. :)

p.s. Taffy was beautiful and when I lit my candles tonight I did it for memorial and for blessings for kitties and people too.
